There are 280 government primary schools in 12 clusters of Bakerganj upazila to ensure quality primary education. Among these schools are 156 old government primary schools and 117 new nationalized schools and 7 1500 schools. In addition, stipends are provided to all students on a monthly basis through the stipend scheme. 1 packet of nutritious biscuits is distributed to all the children in all the government primary schools of this upazila every day.
